Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you define "Level of Influence"?
Anchor 1

A: There are five categories of influence. For the standard deck, each Fate will have one of the five categories listed at the bottom of the Fate, above the description. For the simplistic deck, each fate will have one of the five categories listed in the top right corner. Pay close attention to the patterns that might present themselves: frequency of appearance may suggest importance; order of appearance may suggest the impending nature of an event. If nothing else, let the influence level indicator reflect in the magnitude of the Fates effects on the other Fates.

Category I (12 Fates) – Strongest possible influence

Category II (17 Fates) – Strong influence

Category III (19 Fates) – Neutral influence

Category IV (17 Fates) – Lesser influence

Category V (15 Fates) – Least possible influence

Q: How do you define the three forces (Natural, Supernatural, Freewill)?
Anchor 2

A: There are three forces. For the standard deck, they are located at the top of the card. Natural (left), Supernatural (center), and Freewill (right). Each force helps identify the meaning of the Fate. Each force is active when they are gold and inactive when they are grey. For the simplistic deck, only the active forces will be listed under the influence level in the top right corner.

Natural force: something which comes about through nature; would come about whether or not you were around.

Supernatural force: something which comes about unnaturally, mysteriously, by omnipotence; unexplainable by rational and logical means.

Freewill: course of action brought about by human intervention, yours or others; a choice or decision or change through you; something you can control

Q: What is the difference between Fates and Tarot cards?
Anchor 3

A: There are 80 different Fates within the Da’Ra’Kur deck versus the 78 in Traditional Tarot. It’s safe to note that while the Tarot cards have a rather good natured and well-balanced equilibrium, this new age Tarot system contains a darker quality, a slight edge. Many believe the duality of the cosmos is equal; good balances the bad, right balances the wrong, but the cosmos at all times tilts the scales towards entropy, towards chaos. Everything and everyone moves from a state of peace and rest to violence and unrest. Good things do happen in this world, intended or not, but no one makes it through life without encountering darkness and wickedness and misfortune. More likely than not it is the bad times, the accidents, the regrets that we remember most vividly, where we learn the most about ourselves and how we deal with the uncertainty, the dread and the loss

Q: Define "Black Tarot concept"
Q: Define "Black Tarot concept"
Anchor 4

A: This new system was developed to reflect the darker side of life, the parts of life which most would like to dismiss, but those are the things which need to be explored not ignored. People need to stop looking for the lighter side of life and take control of the shadows following them. Tarot has always seemed to be a light-hearted experience where even the most serious of readings doesn't feel like it carries the weight it should; Da'Ra'Kur shatters the illusion of prosperity and brings you down to the gritty truth of the situation.
